On a cold day in January, the tireless and talented Mike Wankum of WCVB TV and his camera man came to Area 51 at the Edgerton Center to capture students at work.

After a flat-out day of filming everything and everyone—students working, wheels turning, gloves spinning (you'll see)—Mike and his crew produced a two-minute snapshot: Inside MIT's ultimate shop class. Serena Grown-Haeberli, MIT Motorsports captain, sophomore Selam Ali of the MIT Solar Electric Vehicle Team, and senior Alex Hattori of Combat Robotics Club, (MITERS), and a world-class yo-yo star, were featured.

Earlier in the fall, Wankum visited the Edgerton Center to interview associate director, Jim Bales, and see first-hand what's invisible to the human eye: Cutting edge cameras reveal what the eye cannot see

Wankum found even more inspiration taking a closer look at Hattori: Inside the MIT building where a yo-yo champion builds powerful battlebots

And lastly, MIT Motorsports junior and business lead Kat Adams and Grown-Haeberli were featured in the most recent video: Local team builds car, testing ideas against best in world.
