At the annual CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) District 1 conference held this past March in Boston, Massachusetts, the Edgerton Center was presented with the silver award for video fundraising, part of the 2018 Excellence Awards Program. The Program annually honors institutions and professionals who excel in the field of advancement.

In the words of the award certificate, the Edgerton Center's "achievements contribute to the furthering of educational goals and bring credit to our profession. District I recognizes your achievements with the Silver Award presented to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the category of Video-Fundraising for the MIT Edgerton Center 25th Anniversary Film." Contributors to the video are Camilla Brinkman, Communications Administrator, James Bales, Associate Director, Matt Dorris, External Video Consultant, and Chris D'Errico, External Video Consultant.
