For teams of high school teachers and rising ninth through 12th grade students.
The SeaGlide Workshop is an intensive one-week non-residential workshop for high school teachers and rising 9th through 12th graders in the greater Boston area. Participants will learn how to design, build, and operate an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) known as SeaGlide, working side-by-side with staff from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, and MIT instructors and engineers. The workshop covers basics of buoyancy, center of gravity, marine architecture, propulsion, power systems, programming, and glider operation.
