Request an Online Lesson

Coronavirus Update - At this time, our program is offering one virtual lesson, Flashlight Building.  Materials will be provided, but arrangements must be made for their pickup.

We are able to book one lesson for one group per day during public school hours; simultaneous sessions are not possible.

  • Note that our on-line lessons are available to groups ONLY; there is no single child sign-up. (Homeschooling groups are expected to arrange for the appropriate number of students within their organizations; the Edgerton Center will not register individual families.)

  • Sessions will be booked for groups of 12 to 24 students. For larger numbers, please submit request in the Notes section at the end of this form.

  • These are strange times; sessions will be scheduled as close to requested dates as is possible.

*Required Field
Indicate whether you are listing the "grade" or the "age" of the students. Please note our suggested age levels for each activity in activity descriptions.
Class sizes range from a minimum of 12 students up to a maximum of 24 students. Groups over 24 students will be asked to register for MULTIPLE DATES. For larger numbers, please submit request in the Notes section at the end of this form.
Requesting dates for yourself or for a team? Let us know how many classes we are scheduling.
Did you check the calendar? If the date you are requesting is not showing as "Open", then it is not available.
Are there days of the week that work best for you? Are there days/ weeks that you are unable to use? Let us know!
All trips must be scheduled within the public school day. Three hours allows for a 30-minute screen/bio break for students, mid-session. Breakout sessions are set for assembly of materials. If your schedule requires multiple dates with shorter time spans, clearly indicate that need in Notes.
Please let us know if there are any children in the group that may require some additional assistance. If additional school staff (one-to-ones, school nurse, etc.) will be attending, indicate that here.
MIT has chosen Zoom for its on-line teaching, but we're happy to try other platforms. If yours isn't listed, please indicate your school's choice.
Please indicate the best description for your group.
