You GO Girl! - a program for girls entering 9th grade
  • You Go Girls gathered for group photo
  • Girl soldering a pc board
  • Girls relaxing outside for lunch
  • Girls working with LEGO models

...and that's a wrap!

I have received an overwhelming number of applications for this summer's You GO Girl program - and I haven't even alerted those families who contacted me early yet!

As a result, I am no longer accepting applications for 2018.

Do you like science, but maybe your grades don't always reflect it? Our four-day summer program is an on-campus, low-pressure science and engineering program for girls entering ninth grade in the fall.

The camp provides an introductory sampling of hands-on science and engineering activities mixed with high school preparatory sessions. Girls build motorized LEGO® cars, experiment with strobe-light photography, “breed” LEGO fish cells to understand the relationships between genes and traits, and more. Any girl from the greater Boston area who can commute to our program on the MIT campus is eligible to attend

There is a suggested materials donation of $50.00.

The week of July 9-12, 2018 is our week, and please note that we are NOT meeting on Friday.  The program runs from 8:30am- 2:30pm. Families are expected to be responsible for transportation to and from the MIT campus. Time is set aside each day for a brown bag lunch break.

If you or your daughter have not heard from us by Friday, April 27, please e-mail amyfitz@mit.edu.
