The goal of this project was to create an apparatus that would allow one to reliably capture images of Prince Rupert's drops in mid-explosion. The key is the use of an optical beam-break sensor that looks through the glass of the tail of the drop. As the explosion front passes through, it blocks the beam, triggering the strobe.

Carried out under subject 6.UAP.
