Academic Field Trips to MIT
  • Boys soldering small circuits
  • Girls building LEGO car

Since 1996, our science and engineering field trips have provided primary and secondary school students with activities that cultivate curiosity and a sense of accomplishment in science and engineering.

Our three-hour classes (which include a 30-minute break for lunch) take place in our lab on the MIT campus. The Edgerton Center offers 11 unique activities led by Edgerton instructors and supported by MIT students. Preceding the field trip and afterwards, teachers can reinforce and enhance the learning in their own classrooms.
