For rising seventh-grade participants from Lynn Public Schools (formerly GE Girls @ MIT).

GE Girls @ MIT in 2024

Students spent five days working with Edgerton Center and GE Aerospace staff building flashlights, soldering electrical connections, running chemical reactions and learning how airplanes fly. The program is funded by GE Aerospace and developed by members of the GE Women’s Network and the MIT Edgerton Center, and has been running since 2011. Its initial aims were to interest girls in science and technology and ultimately increase the number of female engineers. (Applicants limited to residents of Lynn, MA)

In 2025, GE Aerospace is proud to launch their Girls Innovation & Discovery Camp in continued partnership with MIT Edgerton Center and the Lynn Public Schools.

* While this program is designed to encourage and support female students in STEM, it is open to eligible students of any sex/gender.
